Shipping & Handling

 

Q: I just purchased an order online. When will my package arrive?

A: Thanks for shopping with us online! We do our best to get all online orders out within 24-48 hours upon receipt, and you will receive a tracking number as soon as it ships. However, once a package leaves our shop, we cannot guarantee how long it will take to arrive. If you wish for your package to arrive quicker than our standard estimate of 3-5 business days, please get in touch with us via email or phone for expedited shipping rates. 

 

Q: How is my order protected during shipping? 

A: We insure every package for the total amount paid. In the event that the shipper deems the parcel lost, you will receive a refund. However, it is each customer's responsibility to provide a safe and secure delivery address; JUDITH cannot issue refunds or replacements in the case of a stolen package. We also highly recommend shipping with a signature required. If you do not wish to require a signature on your package, you can mark that choice on the Check Out screen.

 

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: We do ship internationally. Please reach out to shopjudith.shipping@gmail.com with the items you would like to purchase as well as your exact shipping address, and we will provide a quote. 

 

Q: Is your packaging recyclable? How can I best dispose of your packaging?

A: It is! See our guidelines below:

- Shipping boxes are made with recycled materials and are recyclable. 

- Paper mailers are 100% recycled content, 97% post-consumer waste, plastic-free, curbside recyclable, naturally biodegradable, and made in the US.

- Paper tape is made of readily renewable raw materials and industrially compostable.

- Shopping bags are made of 100% recycled paper and a minimum of 40% post-consumer recycled fibers. 100% biodegradable and recyclable.

- All tissue paper is 100% recyclable. 

     

    Purchases & Returns

     

    Q: How do I know my size at JUDITH? 

    A: We carry a diverse group of designers in the shop, and as such, you can expect to see sizing variations between brands and styles. A great way to guarantee you are getting the right size for you is to come in and try it on! We understand that isn't always possible, so we do our best to list garment measurements and fit recommendations for each item on our website (see below!). Our team is always happy to help you via email or telephone if you have any further questions. 

     

    Q: How do I determine if an item will fit me based on your garment measurements?

    A: For a point of comparison, grab a similar item from your closet with a fit you love. Lay that garment on a flat surface and use a tape measure to copy the following measurements. Then compare those measurements with those of the item you are considering.

     

    tops: 

    bust: Measure seam to seam under the armpit and across garment.

    sleeve length: Measure from shoulder seam to sleeve cuff.

    shoulder to hem: Measure top of shoulder straight down to bottom hem.

    dresses:

    bust: Measure seam to seam under the armpit and across garment.

    sleeve length: Measure from shoulder seam to sleeve cuff.

    shoulder to hem: Measure top of shoulder straight down to bottom hem.

    bottoms:

     

    Waist: Measure across top of waistband

    Hip Measure down 8” from the waist and then measure across garment, side fold to side fold. 

    Rise: Measure that seam found on the pant's crotch and follow it to top of waistband.

    Total length: Measure from top of waistband down to leg opening, following along the side seam of the leg.

     

    For shoes:

    To best measure your own foot for sizing, we recommend measuring your foot flat on the floor (never in shoes!). 

    -For Width: Measure the width across the ball of your foot by stepping on the ruler/tape measure. 

    -For Length: Using a ruler or tape measure, measure from the back of your heel to the tip of your longest toe. 

     

    Q: What is your return policy?

    A: We do not accept returns for refunds. Returns are allowed for exchange or store credit on full-price merchandise within 7 days of purchase (in-store) or 10 days of purchase (online). 

     

    Jewelry, accessories (hats, gloves, scarves, barrettes, headbands), shoes, bags, wallets, socks, hosiery, swimwear, intimates, sunglasses, artworks, and home goods are final sale, no exceptions.

     

    Returns must be agreed upon with JUDITH, or we cannot accept them. Please contact us at shopjudith.shipping@gmail.com for a return authorization before sending back any merchandise. JUDITH reserves the right to refuse any returned item. For our complete return policy, click HERE.

     

    Q: I'm on the fence about an item... Do you offer holds?

    A: Unfortunately, we're a small shop with limited stock and cannot offer holds. If you have concerns or questions about fit, please reach out! Our team is happy to help answer your questions or send any additional measurements.

     

    Q: Do we have items on sale? Do we have sale events?

    A: We do have items on sale scattered through the store and on our website – found here. All sale prices are clearly marked. We also have a bi-annual basement sale where we bring out remaining styles from previous seasons.     Q: Do you offer gift cards? 

    A: We do! JUDITH gift cards never expire and can apply toward any JUDITH purchase. You can purchase a gift card via store, web, or telephone/email —gift cards ship for free.

     

    Q: Can I use my store credit or gift card for an online purchase?

    A: Yes, however, we'll need to send you an online code first, so please reach out via email! Requests can be made here

     

     Visiting the Store

     

    Q: What are your store hours? 

    A: We offer walk-in hours 6 days a week. Please check here for current hours. To be the first to know of any planned or unexpected changes in shop hours, visit our Instagram account @judith_maine. If we missed you in the shop - our web store is always open! 

     

    Q: I see you offer appointments on Sundays. Should I make an appointment?

    A: We are available by appointment ONLY on Sundays for the time being due to staffing issues. Appointments are for anyone wishing to shop on Sundays but could also be utilized for those who are immunocompromised and need to shop alone.  Learn more about shopping by appointment here

     

    Q: What is JUDITH doing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while providing an in-store experience?

    Q: Can I bring my dog? 

    A: Please! We love well-behaved dogs in the shop!
